In 1840s Lime Kiln Burners were scattered throughout the Mornington Peninsula and were critical to the building infrastructure & development of Melbourne. Lime is an essential ingredient to make mortar that holds bricks together and Nepean Limestone from the Mornington Peninsula had a superior quality.

Lime was quarried, burnt and bagged on the Mornington Peninsula ready to be transported across Port Philip Bay to Melbourne. The name BURNER IPA is an historical reference to the Mornington Peninsula.

BURNER IPA

ABV | 6.2%

TASTING NOTES: Stone Fruit, Pine & Hoppy

A West Coast IPA presenting stone fruit & pine aromas with a solid malt backbone and firm bitterness

INGREDIENTS: LUPO MOSAIC, VIC SECRET & SIMCOE

FOOD PAIRINGS: Pairs well with Indian or something with a little more chilli heat to it. Also goes really with a cheese board as the bitterness from the hops cut through the cream of the cheese
